YORK COUNTY SOCCER HALL OF FAME
Class of 2026 to be inducted September 24
The York County Soccer Hall of Fame has announced its 2026 induction class, recognizing five individuals whose accomplishments and service have significantly impacted the growth and success of soccer throughout York County and beyond. The 2026 class includes Ellen Borland, Vance Benson, George Cobbina, Taylor Parker McDowell and Nick Schuermann. After winning the 2026 SCHSL state championship in May, Clover High School's men's soccer team will be recognized as a Team of Distinction, an honor awarded to York County-based teams who win a state, regional, or national championship.

The York County Soccer Hall of Fame was started in 2019 to honor individuals and teams whose contributions to soccer in York County, South Carolina merit the highest recognition. The founders envision the YCSHOF as a means through which the sport of soccer can be promoted to both the local soccer community and the general public and provide future generations with exemplary role models while honoring our past leaders and successes.
